Coppery-Tailed (“Elegant”) Trogon, Jennifer Mancuso

The coppery-tailed trogon, formerly known as the elegant trogon, is a rare find in Arizona. The very patient and lucky birder can see this trogon in high elevations in a small portion of the southern part of the state. Known for its bold coloring and barking call, this is the only trogon that nests in the United States.
